There are many programs for photo editing. Some are good, some bad and many of these programs are complicated to use. Programs such as Photoshop, Corel, Photo Studio and other are mostly designed for professionals and are expensive for ordinary people who want only to use it to resize photos. Now I present to you a program that is very easy to use and of course that matters it is free.

The name of this program is a Web Resizer. Web Resizer is designed to resize multiple images, but can also be used to resize individual files. It supports JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP and some other image formats. It can also add a prefix or suffix to the output images. You can install and use this application on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

First of all, go to http://www.minostudio.com/blog/downloads/ download and install Web Resizer.

Then open application, here is screenshot of Web Resizer:

In the top left corner, you will see folders from your hard disk. For this tutorial I created folder “Photos” on my C partition. Inside this folder I created folder “Original Size” and folder “Resized Photos”.

We need setup file format, pixel size and resolution. For target format I chose JPEG with width of 550px. Standard resolution for display is 72 dpi. Also don’t forget to choose destination folder.

Now we need to select photo “sunrise.jpg” and click on blue icon “Resize Selected”
